The $300 YouTube video that brought a $30 million deal !

Ataque de Pánico! (Panic Attack!) is a short 4 minutes 48 seconds animated movie produced by Fede Alvarez with a $300 budget which shows some giant robots attacking the Uruguay capital Montevideo. After he uploaded the video in to the popular video sharing website YouTube on November 2009, Following widespread media coverage, he was offered a $30 million Hollywood deal by Ghost House Pictures to develop and direct a film, which will be produced by Sam Raimi.

Currently the movie has been viewed 1.5 million times on YouTube.

“I uploaded (Panic Attack!) on a Thursday and on Monday my inbox was totally full of e-mails from Hollywood studios,” he told the BBC’s Latin American service BBC Mundo.

“It was amazing, we were all shocked.”
