“Vacuum Places Improved” is a very simple firefox addon that can significantly reduce the  loading time of the browser and speed it up  by 200% in just one click. What “Vacuum Places Improved” does is, It simply Defragments your Firefox “Places” database which stores the  history/ bookmarks data. This process should not even take 10 seconds.

After the installation and restart of the browser, you will see the “Vacuum Places Improved” icon on the status bar of the browser. Whenever you feel your browser is slow, simply click on the icon. It will do the task in just few seconds and notify you in a popup message telling “Vacuum Places Improved“. Immediately after that you should see the impact!

I personally recommend you to start with the FastestFox addon which i found bit faster and smoother than the Autopager. Further i noticed, FastestFox supports great number of sites than AutoPager does. For example, I did not see autopager works with flickr or wordpress. But fastestfox does it in smart fashion.

* Do not use both addons at once. It might make conflicts and may cause slow loadings.

1.  AutoPager

AutoPager, as the name implies  is a dedicated addon to auto load the next page under the current page your viewing in a website. For example, take a look at a  google search result, which will contain lots of pages.  So you have to keep click on the next previous links or on the numbers to visit other pages.  With auto pager this process made really easy.

As i stated above, basically this addon works with many populer websites by default. But if a site does not supported by this addon that you often visit, then you have the option to ad that site through the AutoPager configuration sidebar.  Go to Tools > AutoPager> Site Wizard. Unfortunately the configuration method is not that user friendly (if i am correct), you have to learn a new language called xPath (XML Path Language) to ad new websites that you want the Auto Load  support.

2. FastestFox

FastestFox is a powerful addon that implements the auto next page loading feature  as part of the program only unlike the AutoPager which is a dedicated addon for this purpose.

By default the “Endless Pages” is enabled after the installation. So soon after the installation you can enjoy the feature.

If you want to configure other FastestFox options, simply  goto Tools > FasterFox.

Facebook does not have a native way to downland it’s videos. Unfortunately You have to rely on 3rd party services for that. I found this Firefox add-on called “Facebook Video” which allows you to download Facebook videos as MP4 format in just one click.

How to ?

You must have Firefox installed for this to work.

Install the “Facebook Video” add-on from here

Note:- You will have to restart the firefox for the installation to take effect.

That’s it! From Now you will see a ‘Download video” link under every facebook video you see.

This add-on also allows you to convert Facebook videos in to any format throught another 3rd party online service called “ZamZar”.

I found this handy Google powered translator add-on for firefox that nicely translates the selected text with a right click.

How it works?

Step 1.

Select the text you want to translate from a web page. Right click and choose ‘Nicely Translate’ .

Step 2.

Select the desired language you want to translate the selected text in to. You can select multiple languages from the list.

Step 3.

Click ‘Done’ . That’s all. you will see the translated text as shown below.

I have tried many url shortening addons for Firefox in the past. But, non of them was as smart as is.gd creator. The reason why its so smart is, you simply click it’s toolbar icon and the shortened version of the is.gd url of the current web address your viewing will copied to clipboard.

Alternatively, you can also use the is.gd menu item to create the shorten version of the current url.

The other important feature it has is, You can just right click on any URL on a webpage and create a is.gd version for that.
